The Purple Undertale SOUL: PERSEVERANCE
Fan interpretation: What small practice step can you repeat, and how will you tell whether it is working?
Snowdin Ball Game theme: Even when you felt you were not good enough, you kept taking notes until you succeeded at 'Ball Game.'
✦ What Does the Purple Soul Mean in Undertale?
The purple soul stands for Perseverance: methodical endurance rather than burning motivation. Where Determination is hot and stubborn, Perseverance is cool and disciplined — notes, systems, repetition. In practice it is how you finish long, unglamorous work through habit and quiet dedication instead of waiting to feel inspired.
✦ Underground Lore & Human Identity
Snowdin’s Ball Game presents Perseverance in purple, while the Torn Notebook and Cloudy Glasses are associated with the purple human through game evidence. Undertale does not provide that human’s occupation or study history. To examine how quiet discipline contrasts with outcome-driven resolve, see our analysis of Determination vs Perseverance.
✦ Signature Weapons & Armor Equipment
Undertale associates each item pair with a human SOUL color. Any personality connection discussed here is a fan interpretation, not a confirmed biography.

What this quiz focuses on
Continuing useful effort during execution, managing distractions and trying to finish work. A productive routine also makes room for rest and changes based on feedback.
One everyday example
You keep making an error while learning. You plan a short practice session, record one change to try and check whether the change helps.
A question for reflection
What small practice step can you repeat, and how will you tell whether it is working?
These are self-reported responses to an independently adapted quiz. Public-domain source material does not make the seven-theme combination a validated psychological inventory. Mood, experience and interpretation can affect answers. A low score does not prove you lack a virtue; a high score cannot justify unsafe behavior or diagnose anyone.
